>> Start the academic year with high quality inset networking, training and planning to face the changing landscape of Admissions & Marketing;

>> An exclusive, extended Keynote Seminar on 'The Family Experience' as part of the conference programme;
>> Socialising & Networking throughout the Conference - a chance to make new contacts with other leaders from Independent and International schools, and to rekindle old relationships and friendships too;
>> A beautiful and historic location in Sherborne, Dorset, UK - a medieval town, home not only to 1,300 year old Sherborne School (our host school) but also to 2 other leading Independent schools too, Sherborne Girls and Sherborne Preparatory School;
>> Workshops offering case studies, tips, advice and best practice on fresh, thought-provoking topics and on essential core areas too, presented by experienced Marketing & Admissions practitioners, suppliers and consultants;
>> Continuous Professional Development opportunities and 'time out' from a busy Michaelmas/Autumn term - with the chance to review, reflect, problem solve and to plan and test strategy for the year ahead... and an opportunity for team building and development, for those able to bring their colleagues.
Looking To The Future, With An Eye On The Past...
It is very appropriate that this year's 'Future Facing' event for staff responsible for Admissions and Marketing (and also for other areas of Advancement too) and senior leadership in Independent and International Schools & Colleges is taking place at Sherborne School... a school that has been in continuous operation on the same site for over 1,300 years, in the beautiful county of Dorset in the south of England... and we are very grateful to Sherborne for hosting our 11th annual conference (and to Zoe Sheffield and all her wonderful colleagues at Sherborne for all their help with preparing this conference).
Our first major ‘in person’ event taking place since the pandemic, 'Future Facing' promises to be the best yet with a busy programme featuring a fantastic line-up of speakers from schools of all types and sizes (5 Keynotes + 1 Keynote Seminar + Workshops...) and delegates from schools and colleges around the world participating and contributing. (Our thanks to all those who will be speaking over the 2 days, we really appreciate your enthusiastic support.)
Senior Leaders And Marketing & Admissions Working Together...
Named ‘Future Facing’ to convey a focus on looking ahead and being future ready, the conference will take place at Sherborne School from 2.30pm on Monday 17 October to 5pm on Tuesday 18 October.
'Future Facing' promises a massive amount of expert insight, ideas, tips and advice with hugely experienced Heads/Principals, Senior Leaders and Marketing, Communications and Admissions staff giving 5 Keynotes, a special extended Keynote Seminar and Workshops, plus lots of opportunities for delegates to share their own experience and to network too.
Good Practice, Case Studies, Debate And Learning...
This year's conference has been designed to provide a forum for the exchange of good practice, case studies, ideas and advice for senior leaders and Marketing, Admissions & Advancement professionals (and their colleagues across other departments) working ever closer together to make their school more outward looking, more representative of today’s culture and climate, more honest, open and courageous in not only embracing and reflecting our ever more diverse modern society but also in supporting and championing future facing parents, children and staff.
To that end we hope this year’s conference will serve as an energising, positive space (during an otherwise hectic Michaelmas/Autumn) for discussion, debate and learning, beginning with our keynotes, workshops and a very special seminar on the first day of the conference which promises to get minds thinking and pulses racing with a playful introduction to experience design for marketing and admissions!
